Hokies erase a five-run deficit, but can't hold off Deacons' offense
BLACKSBURG – A five-run fifth inning by the Virginia Tech baseball team erased an early Wake Forest lead, but the Hokies’ bullpen could not keep the Demon Deacons off the board the rest of the game and Wake Forest won the ACC series over the Hokies with a 15-5 victory on Sunday afternoon at English Field at Union Park.
Held hitless until the fifth, the Hokies capitalized on a Demon Deacon error and scored five runs, with Logan Bible getting a key two-RBI single.
