On Tuesday the Green Bay Packers announced that the organization had signed former Virginia Tech signal caller, Jerod Evans, to their practice squad.
The move comes after a severe shoulder injury to Aaron Rogers promoted Brett Hundley to the Packer’s starting QB, and Joe Callahan from the practice squad to the active roster as the back-up.
After a single season with the Virginia Tech Hokies Jerod Evans declared early for the NFL Draft, but was passed over during all seven rounds. He was eventually signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles, but was later waived after being placed on injured reserve.
