On Monday the New England Revolution announced that former Hokie Collin Verfurth had been signed to the team ahead of the MLS is Back Tournament which begins this week. Verfurth is the first player to move from the Revolution’s affiliate team in USL League One and should get the chance to make his MLS debut during this tournament.
Former US Men’s National Team coach, 5-time MLS Cup winner, and 5-time NCAA Champion Bruce Arena commented on the signing, “Collin made a good impression on our staff and players over the past two weeks, and it became apparent to us that he would be a good addition to our roster.
