Mistakes were the theme of the first half for the Virginia Tech Hokies as they trail the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 28-21 at halftime. After jumping out to a 7-0 lead, the Hokies’ defense allowed Georgia Tech QB Tobias Oliver to march down the field with ease and tie the game up.
Ryan Willis then connected with Damon Hazelton on a 41-yard touchdown pass to put the Hokies back up 14-7. Again, Oliver led the Jackets right down the field to tie it up. The Hokies scored again and finally forced a punt, however, VT receiver Sean Savoy allowed the punt to hit his face mask and Georgia Tech got the ball inside the 10-yard line and scored two plays later to tie it.
