BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team defeated Presbyterian 67-36 on Wednesday night at Cassell Coliseum behind a powered performance from senior Sidney Cook who tallied a double-double with by 16 points and 12 rebounds. Fellow senior Samantha Hill added 13 points.
Vanessa Panousis hit another career milestone during the contest. At the 6:05 mark in the fourth quarter, Panousis set the new school record for made 3-pointers, passing Carrie Mason’s mark of 200 set in 2006. She ended the night connecting on three shots from behind the arc.
