Hokies roll past Providence, 62-46

Cook leads Tech with 16 points, eight rebounds

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team bounced back after Wednesday’s game to roll past the Big East’s Providence 62-46 on Friday evening at Cassell Coliseum.

Sidney Cook led all scorers with 16 points while pulling down a game-high eight rebounds. Chanette Hicks added 10 points. Taijah Campbell chipped in nine points and seven rebounds while Hannah Young tallied seven points, six rebounds and five assists.

“I applaud the team for the effort they put forth,” head coach Dennis Wolff said.
