BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team rallied from a 23-18 halftime deficit on Monday afternoon to beat Radford, 47-40.
Trailing 25-18 with 9:29 remaining in the third quarter, Tech went on a 13-0 run to take the lead as the Hokies held the Highlanders scoreless for 8:32 of the third quarter. The run started on a Dominique Powell layup as the Hokies used a combination of free throws and layups.
“First I’d like to commend Radford,” head coach Dennis Wolff said. “They are a very well coached team and played well enough to win.
