BLACKSBURG – After taking two games against Alcorn State on Saturday evening by a combined score of 18-6, the Virginia Tech baseball team completed the three-game sweep over the Braves with a 23-7 victory in nonconference action at English Field at Union Park on Sunday. Sam Fragale, Phil Sciretta and Mac Caples all drove in four runs, while Ryan Tufts crossed the plate four times to lead the offensive attack.
The 23 runs scored by Tech were the most since putting up 35 at Georgetown (35-4) on April 21, 2002.
