Hokies fall at Syracuse

Tech has off-week, returns to Cassell Monday, Jan. 18 vs. Clemson

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team fell to No. RV/25 Syracuse, 60-39 on Sunday afternoon in ACC action at the Carrier Dome.

The Hokies (13-3, 1-2 ACC) committed 29 turnovers, resulting in 23 points for the Orange (12-4, 2-1 ACC). Tech was strong on shot-defense holding Syracuse to 29.9 percent from the field on 23-of-77 shooting, including a 21.1 percent (8-of-38) mark from outside. Tech was 14-of-43 (31.1 percent) from the field and 1-of-14 from long range.
