The Virginia Tech Baseball Team improved to 4-0 on the season on Tuesday afternoon with a 7-0 win over Marshall at English Field.
The reigning ACC Player of the Week from the first weekend of the season, redshirt-junior first baseman Sam Fragale, continued his hot start to the year by going 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in the victory.
While Fragale led the run scoring effort for the Hokies, right fielder Tim Stoffel, designated hitter Nick Anderson, catcher Joe Frieday, Jr., and center fielder Rahiem Cooper all notched two hit games in the shutout.
On the mound, the Hokies used four pitchers in the combined shutout, led by a strong six innings from junior pitcher Connor Coward.
