The Virginia Tech Hokies hit a rough patch. While visiting Clemson, VT’s defense and offense were respectable, defending 11 shots (three on goal) while attaching with nine shots (two on goal). The Tigers scored early in the match, at 17:11, and both teams remained scoreless until the end of regulation with Clemson walking away with the win, 0-1. Against Wake Forest, Virginia Tech’s Tori Powell scored three times. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to top the Demon Deacons who survived, at home, 3-4. Life did not get easier this past weekend when Virginia Tech hosted the No. 1 Florida State Seminoles.
