CLEMSON, S.C. – Freshman Lisa Gunnarsson won her third straight meet and set a school record in the indoor pole vault event at the Bob Pollack Invitational on the campus of Clemson Friday evening inside the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex.
Gunnarsson, a native of Sweden, vaulted a personal-best height of 4.46 meters (14 feet, 7.5 inches) to pass Martina Schultze’s mark of 4.45 meters (14 ft., 7.25 in.) set in 2013. The freshman’s mark also reset the Clemson facility record, which happened to be owned by Schultze, too.
The mark ranks second nationally and first in the ACC.
