Former Hokie Brandon Flowers to announce retirement from NFL

One of the finest defensive backs to ever come through Blacksburg will announce his retirement on Tuesday, per Steve Wyche of the NFL Network.

Just spoke to former Chiefs and Chargers CB Brandon Flowers. He told me that he will officially retire Tuesday @nflnetwork

Brandon Flowers, who starred for the Hokies from 2004-2007, spent nine seasons in the NFL after being drafted in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. After six seasons in Kansas City, Flowers was released and picked up by the San Diego Chargers.
