As many as 21 current Hokies will be seeing action during the summer
BLACKSBURG – As many as 21 Virginia Tech baseball players will be seeing action this summer with a majority of those Hokies kicking off their summer playing seasons this week.
The Cal Ripken League, which seven Hokies will be playing in, starts this evening, while the New England Collegiate Baseball (6) and Valley (1) Leagues start in two days. The prestigious Cape Cod League will begin next Tuesday, June 9, and will feature five Hokies. The Northwoods League, which former Tech player Brendon Hayden played in for several summers, has already begun and has seen a rising-sophomore (Ponzurick) leading the league, after five games, with a .
