BLACKSBURG – Joe Freiday, Jr. notched the first career multi-home run game for the Hokies, while Virginia Tech baseball belted five total in Tuesday night’s game, but the visiting Campbell Camels hit four of their own and left English Field at Union Park a 15-8 victor.
Tech (14-13) jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two frames, with Freiday, Jr.’s first home run of the day – a three-run shot – highlighting a five-run second that also saw Jack Owens and Ryan Tufts hit back-to-back solo home runs.
