Several Hokies rank nationally in individual events
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The field events took center stage as the Hokies closed out the 2015 Virginia Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia on Saturday evening.
Manuel Ziegler soared in the men’s long jump, claiming the victory with an impressive jump of 25’10.25” (7.88m). His jump currently ranks second in the nation and first in the ACC. Ziegler’s mark is second in Virginia Tech history only behind Jeff Artis-Gray.
The men’s hammer throw ended up with Tomas Kruzliak taking second place.
