Former Virginia Tech Hokie football star, Ernest Wilford, is no longer making plays on the field, but he continues to do great things, serving his community, as a police officer.
Wilford played at VPI from 2000-2003 when the Hokies were still part of the Big East conference. During his time with the Hokies Wilford appeared in 51 games and caught 127 passes for 2061 yards. His college career average was 16.3 yards per catch with 11 total TDs. He was named to the 2002 Second-team All-Big East squad, and in 2003 was named to the First-team All-Big East squad.
