Former Virginia Tech Hokies stud, Bucky Hodges, has been signed to the Carolina Panthers practice squad. This is good news for Hodges. He was waived after final cuts, which surprised some. Being on the practice squad clearly isn’t the best possible outcome, but it’s a step in the right direction.
A quick look on the Carolina Panthers depth chart goes like this: Greg Olsen is the starter, Ed Dickson is the second tight end, and Chris Manhertz fills the third spot. Now it’s obvious that Olsen isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, but he isn’t exactly a spring chicken.
