Virginia’s Gretchen Walsh records one of best World Championships in swimming history

Virginia Cavaliers swimmer Gretchen Walsh continues to take the aquatics world by storm. After winning two gold medals and two silvers in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Walsh pieced together one of the best meets in swimming history this week.

Walsh won seven world titles at the Short Course (25 meter pool) World Championships while breaking 11 (!
