With the major college football season kicking off tomorrow, the Atlantic Coast Conference released its much-anticipated schedule for the upcoming basketball season.
There weren’t many surprises on Virginia’s nonconference slate, as its games against Ohio State, West Virginia, Villanova and California had already been announced. Playing those four teams in a row will be a big test for the Cavaliers, sort of simulating an NCAA tournament, which is what Coach Tony Bennett wanted when he designed the nonconference schedule.

As for league play, the Cavaliers open the 2016 calendar year with their first ACC game, at home against Notre Dame.
