Virginia Womens Golf Wins ACC Championship on Lauren Coughlin's Big Day

It was a Sunday to remember for senior golfer Lauren Coughlin and the Virginia Women's Golf team. The Cavaliers won their second consecutive ACC title at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina. UVA finished the three-day tournament at -9, eleven shots better than second-place Wake Forest and 28 shots better than third-place Duke.

In addition to the team title, Coughlin won the individual crown with a dramatic birdie on the 18th hole, a 486-yard par 5. Coughlin stuck a 195-yard approach shot to within 7-feet, then two-putted for birdie. In doing so, she edged out Wake Forest freshman Jennifer Kupcho by two shots.
