The #7 Virginia women's cross country team won the ACC Cross Country Championships Friday morning to claim the program's first conference title since 1982. The team rallied past the #8 ranked NC State squad on the back half of the 6 kilometer course to secure the win. Four Virginia runners finished in the Top 20 in the event to gain All-ACC status. Junior Cleo Boyd who finished the event fourth overall, lead the Cavaliers. Joining Boyd on the All-ACC squad was freshman Emily Mulhern, and graduate students Iona Lake and Sarah Astin. The 1982 women's cross country team went on to win the NCAA title.
