Virginia slips eight spots to No. 15 in latest AP Poll

After a tough week that featured back-to-back losses for the Cavaliers, Virginia slipped from No. 7 to No. 15 in the newest AP Poll. It was the first time that the Hoos had lost two straight since a three-game skid in January of 2020. Both losses came on the road, with now-No. 11 FSU beating Virginia by 21 in Tallahassee, and Duke sneaking out of Cameron Indoor with a one-point victory.

Virginia has gone 1-3 in games against ranked opponents this season, with the lone victory coming against Clemson. The Tigers have long since fallen out of the rankings but were the ninth team receiving votes this week.
