Virginia Cavaliers sophomore safety Quin Blanding had a great freshman season in 2014, posting 123 tackles and a sack to go with three interceptions.
Thus, it’s not at all a surprise that when Jon White, the former five-star talent’s coach at Virginia Beach’s Bayside High School, spoke to Andrew Ramspacher of The Daily Progress, he compared Blanding to a piano prodigy.
“When he got to us, the first thing that we realized is that this guy really understands football,” White said. “It’s almost like you take a five- or four-year-old and put him in front of the piano and show him stuff, just a little bit, and they just get everything.
