The Virginia men’s lacrosse team will be headed to postseason play for the first time since 2015 and the first time under second-year head coach Lars Tiffany to face No. 6 Loyola in Baltimore.
For a school with one of the most storied lacrosse programs in the country, the two-year drought has felt like an eternity—it was the first time in 40 years that Virginia had missed back-to-back postseason appearances, dating back to 1977, when the Hoos missed the tournament for the third straight year.
So, in anticipation and with confidence, the team gathered tonight in the locker room to watch the NCAA Selection Show.
