A rowdy, packed crowd of 6,497 for Senior Day at Klöckner Stadium, the largest turnout for a Virginia Cavaliers lacrosse game since 2013, roared at every goal or call by an official hoping to give their team an edge over the No. 1 team in the country.
“[It] was awesome to see Klöckner bursting at the seams and you know I feel disappointed obviously for [our] men, but I almost feel disappointed for all the fans who came out,” head coach Lars Tiffany said. “We’re so grateful that they would just pour out here in droves.
