The official ACC football media poll came out today and the Virginia Cavaliers were picked towards the very bottom of the expanded conference. The writers ranked the Hoos 16th of 17 ahead of the 2024 season.
Quite frankly, this should not go as a surprise. While we will look at the roster’s upside and potential for vast improvement, it is easy focus on Tony Elliott’s track record as the head coach, when compared to other teams.
Should they have placed a few spots higher? Probably. But then again, most of these preseason polls have accurately ranked the ‘Hoos.
