The Virginia Cavaliers tumbled seven spots to No. 23 in the latest AP Poll after getting walloped by No. 1 Gonzaga on Saturday afternoon. The top three teams stayed the same this week with the Zags taking the top spot for the sixth straight week. Baylor and Kansas stayed at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, with Villanova and Houston rounding out the top-5.
Xavier and North Carolina fell out of the rankings, making room for a pair of Big Ten teams in No. 19 Northwestern and No. 21 Minnesota. The Big Ten continues to dominate the 2020 season with nine teams ranked in this week’s poll.
