Malcolm Brogdon has been named a finalist for the 2016 Wooden Award, one of two most outstanding player awards given in college basketball.
Brogdon leads the Cavaliers with a career-high 17.7 points per game, and passed Travis Watson for No. 15 on the all-time career scoring list at Virginia in the Cavaliers' win over Virginia Tech on Tuesday night. Brogdon is also second on the team in assists (2.8) and rebounds (4.4).
Brogdon was a finalist for the award last year as well, and is one of two finalists who were recognized as All-Americans by the Los Angeles Athletic Club (the group which presents the awards) in 2014-15, with the other being Gonzaga's Kyle Wiltjer.
