The Virginia basketball program announced Tuesday morning that it is retiring Malcolm Brogdon’s jersey number, No. 15, in a ceremony in February.
Virginia also released a letter sent from Brogdon regarding the number retirement:
The retirement ceremony will take place at John Paul Jones Arena on Feb. 20 against Miami, during the NBA’s All-Star break.
Brogdon, who is excelling in his rookie season with the Milwaukee Bucks, earned two degrees from the University in his time in Charlottesville. He’s the most accurate free-throw shooter in UVa history at 87.6 percent, ranks ninth all-time in scoring with 1,809 points, second all-time in games played (136), and fifth in terms of minutes (4,157).
