Coming off two series wins in the last two weeks, the Virginia Baseball is set to kickoff play in the 2019 ACC Tournament. Virginia (32-22, 14-16) is the tournament’s #9 seed and is matched in Pool D with #4 Miami and #5 North Carolina. The winner of Pool D will face the winner of Pool A (Louisville, Clemson, and Boston College) in the first of two semifinals on Saturday.
The Cavaliers open play on Wednesday at 7 P.M. when they take on North Carolina. The Tar Heels (38-17, 17-13) are stumbling just a bit having lost five of their last eight including their final two ACC series of the season.
