Frank Beamer coached his final regular season game today against the Virginia Cavaliers and the Virginia Tech Hokies were able to pull out a huge 23-20 victory for him.
It is the end of an era at Virginia Tech, as Beamer has been their head coach since 1987. He was one of the longest tenured head coaches in the nation and it’s sad to see him leaving. The Hokies are going to have a hard time replacing him, but it’s good to see him go out with a huge rivalry win.
Beamer is going to get the opportunity to coach one more bowl game before hanging up the clipboard for the final time.
