A key part of John Tenuta’s defense at Virginia last year was the play of the line backing core that combined for 218 tackles including 33 tackles for loss. They also accounted for two of the teams top sack leaders in Max Valles (nine) and Henry Coley (eight). UVA football is hoping for the same if not better results on the defensive side of the ball this upcoming 2015 season.
This season, the Cavaliers will have to replace every starting linebacker, as they will start fresh with a new linebacker core full of promise.
