You can count on two hands the amount of NBA games sixth-year pro and former Virginia Cavaliers point guard Ty Jerome has started since being taken in the first-round of the 2019 NBA Draft. With starting point guard Darius Garland (groin) sidelined Wednesday, career start no. 9 came for Jerome for the conference-leading Cleveland Cavaliers who just recently got the undefeated monkey off their back.
Needless to say, Jerome made it count, setting career-highs in points and three-pointers-made... in the first half. In 17 minutes played before the intermission, the sharp shooter connected on seven of his 10 attempts from deep, including a Steph Curry-esque logo shot in the waning moments of the first half.
