UVA basketball freshman Jacob Cofie shines off the bench in early season wins

The Virginia Cavaliers have seen a mixture of lineups on the floor in the first two games against Campbell University and Coppin State. The bench played a key role in both victories, highlighted by true freshman Jacob Cofie with consistent double-digit scoring.

The 6-foot-10 forward from Seattle led the team with 16 points in 29 minutes in the season opener against Campbell. He followed his college debut with a double-double against Coppin State where he tallied 11 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and four steals.

Not only is Cofie effective – but he’s efficient.
