Charlottesville, VA — A jam-packed Disharoon Park, perfect weather for baseball, and two teams coming into the game hungry, but for different reasons. Kansas State was fighting to keep their season alive, whereas the Virginia Cavaliers wanted to punch their ticket to Omaha.
It was a back and forth game for most of the game, with UVA getting 2 quick runs in the first inning off of a Casey Saucke 438-foot solo home run to left field and a Harrison Didawick RBI single, bringing home Henry Ford, who singled earlier on.
Kansas State answered quickly in both the bottom of the first and second innings with one run of their own in each.
