University of Virginia Athletic Director Craig Littlepage announces retirement

The University of Virginia announced Tuesday that Athletic Director Craig Littlepage will retire from the position he has held since 2001.

Littlepage will, “...retire from his position and transition to a role in the University President’s Office,” the official release from UVA stated. He will stay in the role until his replacement is found and established.

This is the second time in less than a week that there has been a shakeup in the Virginia Athletic Department with Executive Assistant Athletic Director Jon Oliver announcing his departure on August 31.

Virginia has enjoyed immense success under Littlepage with a conference leading 76 ACC Championships and 13 NCAA team titles since 2002.
