For three Virginia baseball players, the action on the diamond didn’t end when the Hoos headed home from the College World Series. Pitchers Nate Savino and Matt Wyatt are joined by all-around utility man Kyle Teel on this year’s USA Baseball Collegiate National Team, and the trio has been traveling all over the mid-Atlantic(ish) competing since early July.
All three play for the “Stars” team, battling against the Stripes for baseball supremacy. Through five games, the two squads are tied 2-2 with the first game ending in a 3-3 tie. Virginia and CWS champion Mississippi State are the only two teams with three players on the roster.
