RALEIGH, N.C. -- Virginia coach Tony Bennett suffered from dehydration, which caused him to collapse near the end of the team's first-round NCAA tournament game Thursday against Hampton, according to a university spokesman.
Bennett was giving instructions to guard London Perrantes when he appeared to started blinking fast and fell to the floor by the edge of the scorer's table. Bennett extended his hand to stop his fall, but sat on the ground while he was immediately surrounded by the team's trainers.
