Welp.
Virginia football head coach Mike London announced late Thursday that transfer wide receiver T.J. Thorpe will be out for 10 weeks with a broken collarbone. Thorpe suffered the injury in practice on Wednesday.
Thorpe had surgery today according to a statement released by the university, and the injury, a significant blow for the Hoos, cuts short what had been an outstanding training camp for the Durham, N.C. native.
Thorpe is a graduate student with an exercise/sport science degree and transferred to UVa from North Carolina in the spring. In 34 career games played for the Tar Heels, Thorpe recorded 42 catches for 574 yards and five touchdowns.
