Kansas coach Bill Self lamented his team’s turnovers and said the Jayhawks planned to go to Perry Ellis early in the second half during an interview at halftime with CBS.
He delivered on the promise first time down. Ellis got fouled, made two free throws and scored his first two points of the game.
Villanova is up by seven and 20 minutes away from its first Final Four trip since 2009.
