The Virginia Cavaliers football team had the chance to make a statement against the Maryland Terrapins in Charlottesville on Saturday night. UVA was coming off a momentum-building comeback win against Wake Forest, and they were looking to break a three-game losing streak against the Terps dating back to 2011. Instead, the offense couldn’t punch the ball in the end zone when they needed to, and the defense struggled to make any big plays, leading to a frustrating 27-13 loss to Maryland.
I’ll touch on some of the positives from Saturday’s game, but brace yourselves for what won’t be the most optimistic stock up, stock down, stock neutral from Virginia’s defeat against Maryland.
