Quin Blanding earned his spot atop the Virginia Football record books in Saturday’s game against Pitt as he became the top tackler in UVA history.
Partway through the second quarter, Blanding recorded his fourth tackle, pushing him past Jamie Sharper for the top spot.
Blanding still has at least four games (and half of the Pitt game) to increase his lead in tackles, and is just 31 tackles behind UNC’s Dexter Reid for the most career tackles in ACC history by a defensive back.
At the time of publish, Virginia trailed Pittsburgh 14-0 in the second quarter.
