Previewing Virginia lacrosse’s showdown against Johns Hopkins

The Virginia Cavaliers find themselves in an unfamiliar spot this week, one that warrants a little bit of soul searching after another disappointing non-conference loss, with last Saturday's coming at the hands of Ohio State.

The ‘Hoos now sit at 2-2, their lone wins coming against low-major teams in Colgate and High Point. Scoring droughts, clearing mistakes, and off-ball defensive woes have continued to show up through four games and the road doesn’t get any easier from here as the Cavaliers travel to Johns Hopkins for a noon matchup at Homewood field.

To make things worse, UVA may be without attackman McCabe Millon after he took a brutal cross-check up high in the final minutes of Saturday’s loss.
