Previewing UVA basketball’s Saturday evening matchup with Notre Dame

On Tuesday night, for the first time in forever, Virginia basketball was a thing of beauty.

The Virginia Cavaliers routed Boston College from start to finish, with a 74-56 final score reminiscent of the 2010s golden era of Virginia basketball. Isaac McKneely broke out of his shooting slump in an emphatic fashion with 21 points on 6-for-9 from three-point range. Despite all the picture-perfect three-balls, this was McKneely’s best play of the game.

He beat his man off the dribble, drove with his left-hand to the center of the lane, and finished an and-one floater (I’m not convinced this wasn’t Ty Jerome).
