It was a jam-packed last few days for Virginia Cavaliers athletics. Below are some of the highlights from it all:
- Men’s soccer is headed to the College Cup in Cary, North Carolina, thanks to Friday night’s thrilling 3-2 win over SMU. They’ll face No. 4 Wake Forest at 6:00 PM this Friday for a shot to play in the NCAA title game.
- Fifth-ranked men’s basketball bounced back from last Wednesday’s loss to Purdue, besting No. 7 North Carolina yesterday, 56-47.
In the Atlanta Falcons’ 40-20 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, rookie and former Virginia wideout Olamide Zaccheaus hauled in a 93-yard touchdown - the first catch of his career - during the third quarter.
