At the Sweet 16 in Atlanta, No. 7 seed Virginia led 26-16 at halftime and beat No. 3 Syracuse behind 17 points from Othell Wilson and a 10-point, 12-rebound performance from Kenton Edelin. UVa went on to beat fourth-seeded Indiana in the Elite 8 to cap off a memorable run to the Final Four in Seattle in the program's first season after Ralph Sampson graduated.
