NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! HOOS COMPLETE THE THREE-PEAT!!

For the third straight year (and the fourth time in five years), your Virginia Cavaliers are the NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!! The Hoos sent head coach Brian Boland out on a high note as Virginia downed ACC-foe North Carolina, 4-2.

Due to weather, the tournament was moved indoors, meaning only four courts were available. This didn’t affect the doubles, but made the singles more dramatic as the last two courts knew exactly what needed to be done when they started.

The Hoos picked up the crucial doubles point, but not with out some added drama. JC Aragone and Collin Altamirano won easily, 6-1, but the duo of Luca Corinteli and Carl Soderlund dropped their matchup 6-2, putting pressure on court two.
