BALTIMORE — Morgan State cruised to a 61-0 over Virginia-Lynchburg on Sunday.
Virginia-Lynchburg, a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, is on the NCAA’s list of non-countable opponents for not meeting NCAA accreditation standards. Statistics from the game won’t be recognized by the NCAA.
The Bears (0-2) lost their first two games, to Air Force and Illinois State, by a combined score of 130-21.
This past summer, it was determined that Lynchburg didn’t meet NCAA accreditation guidelines, but Morgan State was unable to find a suitable replacement on such short notice.
