After history was made in the first round by Adam Haseley and Pavin Smith, many thought the Cavaliers might be all done losing players to the draft for the first day. Then the Colorado Rockies stepped up to make their 2nd pick of the night at No. 70 and selected the Hoos’ Tommy Doyle.
Doyle turned in an impressive 2017 out of the bullpen for the Cavaliers saving 14 games in 23 appearances while compiling a 1.87 ERA and 3-1 record. Opponents batted just .228 against the righthander and struck out 38 in just 33.2 innings.
